Biography
I am a research assistant at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford. I am a member of the Knowledge Representation Group and I am working on query optimisation in RDF databases. I completed my PhD studies in August 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Boris Motik and Prof. Ian Horrocks. During my PhD I studied the theoretical and practical aspects of combining knowledge representation formalisms and databases; in particular, I worked on the problem of answering expressive queries over knowledge bases expressed in (fragments of) the EL profile of OWL 2.
