Biography
I joined the department way back in 2012, and have been a Research Facilitator since 2023. I am also our departmental Ethics Officer, responsible for the coordination of the activities of the Departmental Research Ethics Committee.
I'm a Mental Health First Aider, an Identity-Specific Harassment Advisor (Neurodiversity), and I jointly manage a Teams community run by and for neurodivergent staff (go here). In my spare time I've done some music journalism, (bad) music-making, and freelance proofreading/editing. Prior to Oxford, I worked at Oxfam GB, Canterbury City Council, the Scottish Government, and the University of Glasgow. My values centre around authenticity, psychological safety, curiosity, and humour.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to discuss anything related to research ethics. I now hold twice-termly ethics drop-ins - in person or on Teams (your choice). You can book a slot here.
My pronouns are they/she. I work from home Mondays and Fridays.
