Interests

I work on safe and secure machine learning and am part of the CDT for Cyber Security. I try to apply a deeper understanding of pragmatic foundations of machine learning to safe and secure ML systems, mostly deep neural networks and Bayesian neural networks.

Biography

Before joining the research group, Seb worked in technology policy (including biosafety and AI policy), social-entrepreneurship, and strategy consulting. He has been working on startups in the effective altruism community since 2012. He has a Masters degree in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
