How to get to the University from various parts of the UK, using various means of transport, is given on a University web page (actually for international students - but it has the relevent information).
Intercontinental travellers will probably arrive at London's Heathrow Airport, and can catch the Airport Bus from any of the four terminals to Nottingham's Broadmarsh Bus station, for £33. It is a short taxi ride (about £5) to the University Park Campus from the bus station, and taxis are easy to find on the street outside the bus station.
European travellers might arrive at the East Midlands or Birmingham International airports. East Midlands is about half an hour by car from the University Park Campus, and a taxi costs around £24. From Birmingham International you can take a train into Nottingham. Some of the cheap airlines that operate in East Midlands include: British Midlands, Go, BMI Baby, and easyJet.
If you are travelling to Nottingham by train, you can check the timetables at Railtrack site. There are taxis outside the train station and it will cost around £5 to the University Park Campus.
If you are driving to Nottingham, you can find maps and directions on the University's guide to the University Park Campus. Also, we have supplemented these maps with our own directions.
