Biography
I obtained my PhD in 2007 from the University of Pavia, Italy. Before joining Oxford, I have been associate professor at The University of Hong Kong and at Tsinghua University, Beijing, where I held a fellowship of the Young 1000 Talents Program of China. Earlier on, I have been a postdoctoral fellow at Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. In 2010 I have been awarded the Hermann Weyl Prize for applications of group theory in quantum estimation. Currently, I am member of the Standing Committee of the International Colloquia on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics (ICGTMP), Visiting Fellow of Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, Member of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research, Editorial Board Member of Journal of Physics A, Member of the Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi), and Fellow of the National Virgilian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts of Mantova, Italy.
