Biography
Bertrand is a Research Associate of James Worrell at the University of Oxford, England. Before that, he held a short Postdoctoral position in the group of Joël Ouaknine at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Software Systems, Saarbrücken, Germany. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Non-Linear Algebra group of Bernd Sturmfels at MPI for Mathematics in the Sciences, Leipzig, Germany.
Bertrand defended his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in Mathematics, specifically in Computer Algebra in 2020. He has a master's degree in Mathematics (2018) from AIMS, and another in Computer Engineering (2016) from Ecole National Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé.
