Computational Biology and Health Informatics
The Computational Biology & Health Informatics Theme engages in biomedical and healthcare research through the development of innovative computational approaches such as multiscale modelling and simulation, medical image and signal analysis, semantics-driven technologies and software verification. Our research aims at improving the diagnosis and understanding of disease as well as the safety and efficacy of therapies. Cardiovascular, lung, bone and cancer diseases are all investigated in our Theme. The research builds on strong collaborations with clinicians, hospitals, industry and regulators in Oxford and other world-leading centres.
