Posted: 9th October 2024
The University of Oxford has topped the Times Higher Education world ranking for Computer Science for the seventh consecutive year, in their newly released subject tables.
The computer science subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline.
This year’s table includes 2,092 universities, up from 1,027 last year.
I am delighted that we have been ranked 1st for the 7th time in a row. I feel very lucky to be part of this department – with our amazing students, faculty, and staff. It is lovely to also have this external recognition, as we enter the new academic year. Thanks to our students for playing such a key role in the success of our department. Department of Computer Science Head of Department Leslie Ann Goldberg
