In this session Paul Wilkes and Joshua Walter, partners at venture capital firm Osney Capital, will talk through the key considerations that professional investors in early stage ventures look for. Using real-life examples, they will talk through some common challenges a startup should fix (or have a plan to fix) before seeking capital from professional investors.

Joshua Walter:Josh has a background in Cyber Security and Financial Services, and has held numerous senior leadership roles focussed on growth; defining and executing go-to-market strategies, leading high-performing enterprise sales teams and leading global growth initiatives.
Paul Wilkes:
Paul has over 15 years of experience as a lawyer, advising on venture capital fund structuring, M&A, banking & finance and financial services regulation. He is a startup mentor and advisor, working with Oxford University Innovation, the Oxford Entrepreneurship Centre and the Innovation Forum.
