Summary
We are incredibly excited to announce the tenth OxBridge Women in Computer Science Conference, which will be held on the 4th of May 2024, at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. The annual conference brings together computer scientists of all career stages at Cambridge and Oxford, to promote the work of gender minorities and build networks. It is organised by volunteers at OxWoCS and women@CL societies. Highlights of the conference include talks by key academic speakers, a panel discussion on imposter syndrome and a dinner at St Cross College - and there is no registration fee! The conference's purpose is to spotlight the successes of gender minorities within computer science, however, we encourage everyone to attend, no matter your gender identity, to support your colleagues! Due to popularity, those who submit an abstract will have priority for the formal dinner and 1:1 with sponsors.
Conference Overview
Oxbridge Women in Computer Science Conference is an annual one-day event hosted by the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The conference is free and open to everyone from a STEM discipline, regardless of gender identity. Its purpose is to spotlight the successes of gender minorities within computer science and strengthen our network in the computer science departments at Oxford and Cambridge, within an encouraging and friendly environment. To support the professional development of researchers and students, we aim to provide opportunities to interact with our industrial sponsors and partners directly through 1:1 sessions. We accept posters and talks from gender minorities in computer science or closely related areas.
