Sara Dutta has been selected for the 2014 Safety Pharmacology Society Junior Travel Award. She has been invited to present a poster ant to attend to the Safety Pharmacology Society meeting to be held in October 19-22, 2014 in Washington, DC.
Alfonso Bueno-Orovio will be giving a talk on "Fractional in space reaction-diffusion equations: Applications to biological tissues" on Thursday the 10th of July at the 10th AIMS Conference on Dynamical Systems Differential Equations and Applications that will be held in Madrid.

A total of six papers have been accepted in the 41st annual meeting of Computing in Cardiology, which will be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts from Sunday, September 7th through Wednesday, September 10th, 2014. They will be presented by Louie Cardone-Noott, Oliver J Britton, Anna Muszkiewicz, Elisa Passini, Ana Mincholé and Christopher Kelly.

Xin Zhou presents their studies at the Heart Rhythm Scientific Sessions. Xin's study is entitled "HERG determines alternating behaviour at fast pacing by modulating action potential morphology and sarcolemmal Ca2+ balance", and is a collaboration between our team and Pier Lambiase and Peter Taggart's team at the Heart Hospital in London.

From January 2014, Vicente Grau is the Director of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Healthcare Innovation, at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering. The CDT aims at developing novel technological solutions to biomedical questions, and lies at the interface between academia, healthcare centres and the industry.
